Rest+Rise @ the Branch Museum

Create space for rest, connection & creativity when you join the Rest + Rise Retreat hosted by Melanie from A Brighter Birth. Join me and a collective of inspiring practitioners for a one-day getaway at the Branch Museum of Design in RVA.

Your one-day escape day will include nourishing food, a guided meditation hosted by Ellie Burke, yoga facilitated Suzanne Burns, a floral craft by Nikita Achalam, and a Sound Bath under the stars facilitated by me featuring a powerful collection of Crystal Tones singing bowls, Koshi chimes, handbells, the Ocean Drum, Tibetan sound bowls and more creative instruments.

Come move with me in the studio for a series of asana and pranayama classes.

Set the foundation for your week with the Root to Rise Sunday yoga series. This 75 min yoga class will feature a series of yoga postures that are designed to move us from our back to our seat to our feet. We’ll use the breath as our guide as we flow through the practice.

The practice will open with a grounding meditation to lay the foundation for a series of active yoga postures where we’ll accentuate our movements with our breath. The practice will close with an extended savasana, featuring Crystal Tones singing bowls, chimes, and other sound healing instruments. Come ready to breathe, move & meditate! 

We’ll provide mats, blocks, bolsters, and all of the props that you may need for yoga & sound.

Lunar Eclipse Sound & Reiki

Come practice with us as we channel the lunar force of the Blood Moon in honor of the total lunar eclipse that lands in September. Join me and Jess from BirdSong Reiki for this channel clearing and power up practice- Jess will extend Reiki throughout the practice as we move, breathe & mediate.

This 75-minute experience will feature accessible yoga postures, guided breathing & meditation followed by a sound bath featuring Crystal Tones singing bowls, chimes, and more instruments as we clear & cleanse your energetic bodies with sound. Throughout the practice, Jess will extend the healing powers of Reiki to the group. Reiki is guided life force energy and can provide a sensation of healing & calm.

Restorative Yoga & Sound

Take pause with a restorative yoga and sound class designed to help you soften, release, and relax. This practice of intentional, slow movement will be deepened by the restorative vibrations of crystal bowls and other instruments which will play throughout the practice.

Eve will guide you through a slow, breath-led intentional yoga flow created to synchronise your heart, body and mind as you drop into a state of deep relaxation. Throughout the practice, Shannon will be spinning her crystal sound bowls and other healing instruments to help soothe your nervous system, allowing your body to achieve a deep state restore & repair.

This is an all levels class for anyone seeking nervous system support, energetic renewal, and a space to quiet the monkey mind & fully drop into the body.

This class is hosted at TAOU Studio located in the heart of Carytown RVA on Saturday, September 27th, 4-6pm.

Becoming: A Women’s Embodiment Retreat in the Mountains of WVA

Shift your focus to yourself during this 5 day, 4 night escape to the mountains of West Virginia. This retreat is designed for women to become the most perfectly imperfect version of themselves as we explore healing modalities including reiki, sound, movement, meditation, breath work, and embodiment practices.

This retreat is hosted at Casa Om Potomac nestled along the Potomac River in the mountains of West Virginia. Known for their healthy soul food, Casa Om provides a serene setting where you’ll feel nourished, supported, and inspired. Enjoy a kayak ride or swim in the Potomac, take a dip in the pool, soak in the hot tub, or explore the forest and bat caves.

This retreat is a collaboration with the Heart of Pleasure Project.
